Cookie Policy

The short version

This website sets no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no cross-site tracking of any kind. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

That is a deliberate choice, not an oversight. We did not want to ask you to accept tracking in exchange for reading about our engineering practice.

What is stored, and where

Two things are kept in your own browser's local storage. Neither is a cookie, neither is sent to our servers, and neither identifies you.

Clear them at any time through your browser's site-data settings. The site works normally without them — it will simply follow your system appearance and detect currency from your locale each visit.

Server logs

Our web server records ordinary request logs — IP address, timestamp, page requested, referrer and user-agent. These are used for security and to understand which pages get read. They are deleted or aggregated within 90 days and are not combined with anything else. See the Privacy Policy.

Third parties

The only external request this site makes is to Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces. That request reaches Google's servers and is subject to their terms. Nothing else on the site is loaded from a third party — no analytics, no tag manager, no embedded widgets, no social pixels.

If we ever add analytics, we will use a privacy-preserving option, say so on this page, and introduce consent where it is required.
